Scripture Study

One of my life's passions is the study, application and teaching of Holy Scripture. Throughout time, what is or is not considered 'inspired' Scripture has been debated by folks a whole lot smarter than I am. If I may borrow a phrase coined by my father, many of those folks can be considered "educated nitwits".

I was born, baptized, confirmed and married as a Roman Catholic. I attended Saint Augustine's School in North Troy, New York kindergarten through eighth grade, and served as an altar boy at Saint Augustine's Catholic Church through my mid teens. At one time, I actually aspired to ordination as a Roman Catholic priest. While not called to that specific vocation, I was called into Christian ministry later in life. I completed seminary and was ordained into the Baptist tradition in 2001.

I spent much of my adult life preaching, teaching and being part of the Home Church movement. I now consider myself an un-retired Christian Pastor. Much of my ministry these days is online utilizing various social networking platforms, but mostly focused on a small group of family and close friends.

With the ample amount of free time on my hands, I am working on projects that I haven't been able to. One series of projects is locating Public Domain scripture resources and converting them to a usable form. Then annotating the documents and creating my own commentary to introduce early Christian documents to a modern audience.

The Bible translation that I have decided to use in my work is the Berean Standard Bible.
